展覧会の会期について
ギャラリーで開催される展覧会の会期がどの位かご存じでしょうか？
実は1週間がほとんどです。
数か月、数年かけて制作する方もいらっしゃいますが、展示するのは1週間。
長くて10日から2週間の場合もありますが、その場合はギャラリー側からの企画展が多いのではないでしょうか。
なぜなら、展示スペースは借り賃がかかるからです。作家は自分でスペースを借り、展覧会を開催します。1か月も借り続けることは難しいでしょう。
また、会期中は在廊し、接客もします。制作だけで生活していける方は少ないので、お仕事を調整して臨みます。
1週間の会期中にお越しいただける人数は、どうしても限られてしまう。
本当は、実物をご覧いただきたい！しかし、会場に行けない方にも見て頂きたい！
そこで、会場の雰囲気を感じて頂く術として動画を作成しましたので、お楽しみいただけると嬉しいです。

My concept is encounter with the work, to enjoy contemporary art at home.
The information is based on my experience working in a gallery.
Through the artists and their works, I’ll be offering suggestions that will make you feel closer to contemporary art.
About the exhibition period
Do you know how long an exhibition is held in a gallery?
Actually, it’s mostly a week.
Some take months or even years to create, but only a week to exhibit.
It can be as long as 10 days to two weeks, but in that case, the gallery will probably have a special exhibition for you.
This is because exhibition space costs money to rent. It would be difficult for an artist to rent a space for a month.
They will also be in the gallery during the exhibition and serve customers. There are not many people who can make a living just by making art, so they will adjust their work schedule accordingly.
The number of people who can come to the exhibition during the one-week period is inevitably limited.
In fact, we want you to see the real thing! But we also want those who can’t make it to the venue to see it!
