雇われるのではなく、仕事を作りだすこと。
生活に埋没せず、理想を求め自律すること。
自由から逃げず、孤独に踏みとどまり決断すること。
役割を見出し、責任を負うこと。
自分を模倣せず、白紙に還ること。
歴史に学び、現代という拘束から解き放たれること。
これらのことを掟とし、美に耽らず、いのちの根源に迫りたい。
この世に表現できないものはない、と仮定をたて、あらゆることを試み制作したい。

To seek ideals and discipline oneself, not to be buried in making a living.
To stay in solitude and make decisions, not to run away from freedom.
To find a role and take responsibility.
To return to a clean slate, not to imitate myself.
To learn from history and free ourselves from the restraint of modern society.
I desire to approach the root of life without indulging in beauty.
I desire to create all kinds of things, on the supposition that there is nothing in this world that cannot be expressed.
