作家にむかない
私は、自分は作家に向かないと思っている。自分がこの世からいなくなった後に何も残らなくていいと思っているからだ。
子供達にも、子育ての目標は、私がいなくなっても生きていける事！と伝えている。子供に執着したくないし、されることも避けたい。
それぞれが自分のフィールドで、向かうべき方向へ目を向けていてほしい。
生きている上で、必要なものはできるだけ少なくしておきたい。ルーティーンも作らない。しかし、現実はそう理想通りにはいかないものだ。
一方で、ある何かにこだわりを持つ作家の方々に憧れがある。１つの物事を探く掘り下げ、考え、形にしていく作家の方々やその作品に惹かれる。自分の作品に対して、後世へ残したいと望むからこそ保存に気をつけ、材料や技法の研究を根気強く進めるその姿勢にも。
１つ１つの作品には、その作家の背景があり、葛藤や喜びがある。それが何であるか説明を受けなくても、正確に受け取れなくても、それは重要ではない。
ただ一緒に過ごすだけで伝わる何かがあれば、それはあなたにとって唯一の作品になる。
その上で、作家に興味を持ち、考え方や作品のコンセプトを知ることで、より作品に寄り添えるのではないかと思う。
これは、長い時間をかけて作品と一緒に築いていく信頼関係のようなもので、その作品のある部屋は心地よくあなた自身を受け入れ、考え事にもそっと寄り添ってくれる。
私はそのように所有する作品たちと過ごしている。

This is a blog that introduces contemporary art works that can be hung in your home.
I would like to share with you the joy of incorporating art into your daily life.
I hope that by looking at the artworks and artists, you will be able to encounter a special piece of art for yourself.
I’m not cut out to be an artist.
I don’t think I am cut out to be an artist. Because I don’t want anything to be left behind after I am gone from this world.
And to my kids, my goal in parenting is to be able to survive without me! I tell them that. I don’t want to be attached to my children, and I don’t want them to be attached to me.
I want each of my children to be in their own field, with their eyes on the direction they should be heading.
I want to have as few necessities in life as possible. I don’t even create routines. However, reality is not so idealistic.
On the other hand, I admire artists who are particular about something.
I am interested in artists and their works who delve into a single thing, think about it, and give shape to it.
I am also impressed by their attitude of being careful about preserving their works because they want to leave them to future generations and patiently researching materials and techniques.
Each piece has its own background, its own struggles and joys of the artist. It doesn’t matter if you don’t get an explanation of what it is, or if you don’t get it exactly right.
If there is something that can be conveyed just by spending time together, it will be a unique work of art for you.
On top of that, I think that by taking an interest in the artist and learning about his/her way of thinking and the concept of his/her work, we can be more closely connected to the work.
It is like a relationship of trust that you build with a work of art over time, and the room in which it resides will comfortably accept you and gently accompany you in your thoughts.
I spend time with the works I own that way.
