足利市立美術館にて特別展示「色彩の手ざわり」連続個展vol.1として開催

今回の展覧会では、過日ギャラリーブロッケンでの個展につづき、響きのオブジェシリーズの作品を展示します。
「untitled dictionary」の3点に加えて、日本初の近代的国語辞典「言海」の改訂増補版「大言海」から型をとった「dictionary」の3点の6点の作品で構成します。
6点の作品たち、空気と水とその器である辞書のかたちから、どんな響きが感じられるでしょうか。
大きく心の瞳を開いて、その響きのその色を感じていただければ幸いです。
あたまを空っぽにしておいでください。
作品を手に取り、その重みを感じる。ゆっくり左右に倒し、空気と水の響きを感じる。
そこで辞書の中にある言葉から生まれる世界を想像し、自己との対話をするような作品であると思っています。
今回は作品を手に取ることはできません。この体験を想像し「大言海」編み出す言葉の海へと思いを馳せます。
アクリル板に映り込む作品は、配置によって効果が生まれています。

Special exhibition at Ashikaga Museum of Art as part of the “Color Touch” series of solo exhibitions, vol.1

In this exhibition, following his recent solo exhibition at Gallery Brocken, the artist will present a series of works from his “Echoing Objects” series.
In addition to the three works in the “untitled dictionary” series, the exhibition will consist of six works in the “dictionary” series, three of which are modeled after “Daigenkai”, the first modern Japanese language dictionary,”Genkai” in Japan, in its revised and enlarged edition.
What kind of resonance can you feel from these six works in the form of air, water, and their vessel, the dictionary?
I hope you will open the eyes of your heart wide and feel the colors of the echoes.
Please come with an empty head.
Pick up the work and feel its weight. Slowly turn it from side to side and feel the resonance of air and water.
I believe that this work is like a dialogue with the self, imagining the world created by the words in the dictionary.
This time, you will not be able to hold the work in your hands. Imagine this experience and contemplate the sea of words that you will weave into a “big sea of words”.
The works reflected on the acrylic panels create effects depending on their placement.
Please experience it for yourself.
