Thank you for watching our video.

Born and raised in Sichuan, China, Ping Zhou continues to create in Japan with Chinese culture as her backbone. Her use of colors and motifs of human and birds show her delicate and unique sensibility.

She says that her illusions start to move while cooking for her family, and her imagination expands from there. I have never had illusions set in motion while cooking. Listening to her talk, I was first interested in her rich sensibility.

“Food” is a theme that she has consistently drawn in recent years. The interesting aspect of her work is that he conveys this expression through bird’n women. The touch of her brush is delicate, the colors are fantastic, and the work is elegant.

I was a little surprised to see a human bird that looks more like a person in this new work. I thought it looked like her, so I asked if it was a self-portrait, to which she replied, “Maybe, maybe not.” She said it is not a self-portrait, but she is very attached to it because she wears the same earrings as herself.

The knife, fork, spoon, and chopsticks that are stuck in like frogs are the titles.
