This is a blog that introduces contemporary artworks that can be hung in your home, in the hope of conveying the joy of incorporating art into your daily life.
I hope that by getting to know the artworks and artists, you will be able to encounter a special piece of art for yourself.
In this video, I introduce “Shinichi Oikawa exhibition – NUANCE – “.
Video of the exhibition held from October 26 (Thu) to November 4 (Sat), 2023
Venue: Gallery A BIENTOT
Enjoy the exhibition in video
Thank you for watching the video.
As mentioned in the video, Mr. Oikawa paints with limited colors in all of his works, based on the fact that colors are more beautiful when they are not mixed as much as possible.
In most of his works, he chooses materials that do not warp easily, and he makes the panels himself.
Shinichi Oikawa’s works have many fans among artists.
His works, in which lines are drawn without intentional parts, are clean and pleasing to the eye. However, I always encounter one work at the exhibition that makes me feel a buzz.
It is always a pleasure to encounter a work that makes you feel uneasy.
In addition to acrylic and oil paintings, there were several works painted with beeswax.
These works were framed in milky white frames. About his beeswax works, he said, “Beeswax softens my hardened thoughts. It is fun to work with. “
As the word “relaxed” suggests, this work is relaxing to look at, and I would like to hang it in my room.
How do you feel when you see the work?
We would be very happy if you could comment on your impressions.
