今回はアーティストの現状をお伝えします。
ご存知の方もいると思いますが、アーティストとしての収入だけで生活出来る方は、ほんの一握りです。
私の知っている方のほとんどは、他の仕事をしながら活動しています。
また、アーティストとしての制作の他に、作品の営業活動もしなくてはなりません。
画廊や、ギャラリーがバックアップしているアーティストであれば、個展の費用や営業活動によるアーティスト自身の負担は軽減されます。
そうです。個展の費用も自分で捻出しなければなりません。
アーティストの活動は、続ける事が困難な状況です。
私の知る限りでは、皆さん工夫しながら、慎ましく暮らしています。
元々、物を作り出すのが得意なので、その工夫は学ぶ所が沢山あります。
生活の工夫についても、ご紹介出来る機会を作りますね！

厳しい状況でも、作品を作り出すエネルギーはどこから生まれるのだろう？
作品を生み出すエネルギーはどこから来るの？
作家さんによっては、作品を作る事が楽しい、いや逆に苦しい作業だ、と言う方がいらっしゃいます。
どちらの方も共通しているのは、作らずにいる事は出来ない。と、いうことです。
現代アート作家の作品にはコンセプトがある事がほとんどです。
その人の考えや、思いが表現されています。
表現する事で、自分自身を保つ、見つめる、解き放つ、様々な作品を生み出すエネルギーの源があります。
さらに、作品を買ってくださった方に、より良い作品を見て欲しいという思いが、強いエネルギーになります。
気に入った作品を購入すると、作家にとっては大きなエネルギーになり、購入された方は、家や職場で作品を掛けることで、より心豊かに過ごすことができます。
