ノスタルジックな雰囲気のある作品からは、物語が語られているようだ。
作品作りに影響を与えたのは、海外でのアーティスト・イン・レジデンスでの経験が大きい。
それぞれ違う国から来たアーティストが、共同生活をしながら、アトリエで思い思いに制作をする。
作品と向き合う1人の制作者という共通の境遇は、言葉の壁を越えたコミュニケーションを可能にしていく。
”文化が違い、住んでいる環境が違っていても、同じように試行錯誤し、一生懸命描いている人がいる。共感と共に、身近に感じた。

そう思うと、自分の表現に自信が持てるようになった。”
アーティスト・イン・レジデンスは町おこしを兼ねている場合が多く、交流イベントがたくさん組まれている。
それが醍醐味なのだが、タイトなスケジュールで制作をするので「楽しすぎて、最後はギリギリで、半泣きで、徹夜で描く。」そうだ。人間味溢れるキュートな一面も魅力である。

The common circumstance of being a single creator facing her work makes communication possible beyond the language barrier.
“Even though our cultures are different and the environments we live in are different, there are people who are doing the same trial and error and drawing hard. With empathy, I felt close to them.
I am one of them.
When I think of that, I feel more confident in my own expression.”
Artist-in-residence programs often serve as a way to revitalize the town, and many exchange events are organized.
That’s the best part of it, though, because they work on a tight schedule: “I paint at the last minute, half-heartedly, and all night long.” That’s right. The cute side full of humanity is also a charm.
作品コンセプト
印象的な夢や想像、日常的なのに曖昧な記憶 等を探りながら、
油絵具を垂らしたり 練ったり 擦りつけたり 削ったり して 制作をしています。
私にとって絵を描くという事は、作品に現れる今の自分の心理を見つめ整える作業であり、制作の過程がとても大切です。
抽象的な色や線や形で画面が変化していく中で、
言語化できない 曖昧な記憶や夢や想像が 形を作り シンボルとして画面上に生まれる。
それらと対話しながら、絵を完成させていきます。
現代に生きる人の 内面の一例として、正直な表現であることを大切にしています。
Concept
I create my works by dripping, kneading, rubbing, and scraping oil paints while exploring impressive dreams, imaginations, and vague memories of everyday life.
For me, painting is a process of looking at and adjusting my current state of mind, which appears in my works, and the process of creation is very important.
Ambiguous memories, dreams, and imaginations that cannot be verbalized take shape and appear as symbols on the screen. As the screen changes with abstract colors, lines and shapes.
While interacting with them, I complete my paintings.
I value honest expression as an example of the inner life of people living today.
