今回は、作家の伊藤あずささんをご紹介します。作品の展開は、日本にとどまらず、海外にも及ぶ。
自分の作品を客観的にとらえ、社会の中でどう活かしていくか考える、広い視野を持つ作家である。作品や美術活動を通して、教育や社会に貢献ができるよう模索し、悩みながらも確実に実行していく意志の強さを持つ。
作品は、繊細な線や色のにじみが、幻想的な世界を作り出す。幻想的な色合いを、どんな技法で出しているのだろう？
細部にまで、作家の想いや意識が込められていると感じる。祈りなのかもしれない、とさえ。その奥に共通しているのは、ひかり…。 私には希望の光に見えてならない。
In this issue, I would like to introduce the artist Azusa Ito. The development of her works is not limited to Japan, but also extends overseas.
She is an artist with a broad perspective who sees her work objectively and considers how it can be utilized in society. She seeks to contribute to education and society through her works and art activities, and has the strength of will to carry out her tasks without fail despite her worries.
The delicate lines and blurred colors of her works create a fantastic world. What kind of technique does the artist use to produce the fantastic colors?
I feel that the artist’s thoughts and consciousness are put into every detail. It may even be a prayer. The common denominator behind them is light. I can’t help but see it as a light of hope.

作品ついて
15年ほど制作を続けているシリーズ「藍色の風景」は、自身が外部からの影響によって感じ取ったものや内面の世界を水や光、風景など自然物の形態を展開して、心が空想の中へ旅立つような感覚をイメージして制作しています。
これらの作品は、自身が制作した銅版画やモノタイプの作品を完成した作品としてだけではなく、それを素材として考え、絵の具を重ねたり、自身が制作した版画と和紙を組み合わせて構成し貼り重ねるなど、色彩や空間を複雑化して奥行きのある世界を表現することで、自身の世界観をより深く追求するために制作しているシリーズ作品です。
また、このような作品を制作し発表することで、長年研究している銅版画やモノタイプの技法と日本の伝統である和紙の素材を更に展開させて版画と和紙の可能性を探っていきたいと考えています。
