及川伸一さんのテーマは昨年に引き続き「relation」です。点や線での表現や限られた色で構成された画面には絵の具の凸凹や筆の跡など力強い痕跡があります。一方で繊細な作業がパネル作りや額装に現れているのが個人的にとても魅力的に感じるところです。作品一点一点の持つ魅力と、展示という空間としての空気感が作品から生まれる及川伸一展はぜひ直接会場で見ていただきたい展示の一つです。

Oikawa Shinichi’s theme continues to be “relation” from last year. His compositions, built with dots and lines and a limited color palette, bear powerful traces like the texture of paint and brushstrokes. At the same time, the meticulous craftsmanship evident in the panel construction and framing is what I personally find so compelling. The Oikawa Shinichi exhibition, where the charm of each individual work and the atmospheric quality of the exhibition space itself emerge from the pieces, is one I highly recommend experiencing directly at the venue.
